Challenges in the Fitness Industry
-
Only about 20% of the U.S. population meets recommended physical activity guidelines, making it difficult to encourage behavior change among the remaining 80%.
-
A significant proportion of people lack consistent motivation and initiative to engage in regular fitness activities.
-
Fitness-related purchases often lack immediate gratification. Unlike other consumer goods, benefits such as improved appearance or well-being are not instantly visible, making fitness a long-term commitment rather than an immediate reward.
Problems Faced by Fitness Customers
-
Most gyms have limited availability of cardio equipment during peak hours, typically before and after standard working hours, leading to overcrowding and reduced training efficiency.
-
Approximately 45% of fitness beginners feel confused due to a lack of professional guidance and foundational fitness knowledge.
-
Many individuals struggle to maintain a consistent fitness schedule due to constraints such as work pressure, limited time, and location restrictions.
-
Around 70% of users believe that training under professional guidance is more efficient and leads to better results compared to self-directed workouts.

FUNCTIONS
PODER is designed to be simple and intuitive to use. On the home page, users are presented with recommended trainers based on a combination of personalized factors. By tapping “See All,” users can explore the full list of trainers and access more detailed profiles. The onboarding process begins with setting up user preferences to enable better personalization.
The app integrates with Google Maps, allowing users to discover trainers based on location. When a gym is selected on the map, available trainers at that location will appear instantly. Users can double-tap to access detailed gym information.
Following a guided selection flow, users can choose a nearby gym, select a suitable trainer, and book an appropriate time slot, enabling a seamless and efficient start to their fitness journey.
