Dandelion Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory located in San Francisco’s Mission District. The founders’ decision to establish the factory emerged from years of hands-on experimentation with cacao beans, combined with a lifelong dedication to understanding and crafting chocolate at a deeper level.
This project reinterprets the brand’s visual language through packaging illustration. I designed a series of five abstract compositions, each representing a distinct emotional state. Rather than relying on literal or product-driven imagery, the illustrations explore a more expressive and interpretive visual system, introducing a deliberate shift from the brand’s existing aesthetic direction.
Targeted toward a younger audience, the system aims to reposition the product experience as more emotional, artistic, and contemporary, bridging craft chocolate with a more experimental visual culture.

New Packaging
A reimagined chocolate packaging system characterized by unique illustrative compositions and bold, vibrant colors, aiming to enhance emotional expression and strengthen visual differentiation within the brand identity.

More Flavors
A new collection of chocolate flavors that explore distinct emotional moods, transforming taste into a narrative-driven experience that connects flavor profiles with emotional expression.
